Participators at LiftOff 2023

We are the European Space Agency.

Our mission is the peaceful exploration and use of space for the benefit of everyone. We watch over Earth, develop and launch inspiring and unique space projects, train astronauts and push the boundaries of science and technology, seeking answers to the big questions about the Universe. We are a family of scientists, engineers and business professionals from all over Europe working together in a diverse and multinational environment.

ESA is always on the look-out for talented new people from engineering, science, IT, natural/social science, business and administration services (law, finance, communications, human resources, facility management). We strongly encourage students and graduates of universities or equivalent institutions to join ESA.

Giron Space Organisation, GSO

GSO was founded the 12 of April 2021 by four of the student projects at LTU’s Kiruna Space Campus.

The purpose of GSO is to support these projects in their current and future endeavors. This includes deepening the collaboration between the projects, providing a platform for sponsorship opportunities, and helping students and projects to meet each other. The goal of GSO is to facilitate and drive future iterations of the current projects, allowing them to expand and improve. Since projects usually last longer than most of the study programs at the Space Campus, GSO becomes an important part in integrating the new students into projects.
